Meet Ashika, Key Account Manager

Get to know more about the Eduzone team by meeting Ashika, one of our Key Account Managers!

Name: Ashika Kantelia

Tell us a bit about your role at Eduzone:

As a Key Account Manager, I will be working closely with current customers ensuring they have all the resources they need to effectively run their settings. I will also be building relationships with new customers and learning more about their settings and needs.

What did you get up to before joining the Eduzone team?

Before working for Eduzone, I was an Early Years Practitioner for over 4 years. I designed the Physical Education curriculum for my setting as well as leading the Eco-Schools National green flag award. Prior to this, I carried out my degree in Early Childhood Studies and I have a depth of knowledge about pedagogies, EYFS curriculum, child-initiated learning and continuous provision.

What’s on the top of your to-do list for the next few weeks?

I would like to introduce myself to existing customers and build relationships with new customers as well as promoting latest offers, for example the My School Fund cashback initiative. As well as this I would like to prepare and plan for our upcoming exhibitions.

How do you like to start your working day?

Reflect on the past day and review my to-do list with a cuppa!

What is the highlight of your role?

I love to meet the customers and go into their settings and supporting them with what they need and any challenges they are facing.

What is your favourite Eduzone product/category/collection and why?

LOOSE PARTS! Playing with loose parts allows children to develop their creativity, imagination and open-ended play. It allows for children to build on their communication through learning of new vocabulary as well as building on their social skills and schemas. Loose parts play can also boost problem solving skills through mathematics.

Your favourite motto:

Don’t worry about a thing, every little thing is gonna be alright!

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I love to spend time with my family, I also like to spend time in the garden growing fruit and veg (doesn’t always turn out as planned). I love travelling abroad at least twice a year. I have a passion for cooking.
